Ice Storm 2009

As many of you know this area was hit yet again with an ice storm. We were fortunate this time because we did not lose power. We got about an inch to one and a half inches of ice/sleet then about 3-4 inches of snow on top of that. Since Kyle was home again today we decided to get out and play in the snow. Jaden loved being outside. We played with the tractors, they helped move the snow out of the way. Kyle also took Jaden for a sled ride through the yard. JADEN LOVED IT! He kept yelling, "More, More daddy, MORE!" Oh to be a kid again, haha!

Playing Outside

Thursday was a beautiful day. Jaden and I went for a walk, played with Stubby our dog, and just played outside. It was good to be outside and not freeze. The high temp. was 60 degrees, in January can you believe that. As I am typing this it is currently 24 degrees and dropping, and if you look just right you can see the little snow flakes. All of this is part of the winter storm we are supposed to get now through Tuesday. When are we ever going to have just "normal" weather??? Anyways, we enjoyed playing outside and we are thankful to have had the chance to be outside and not couped up inside.

Jaden and his "wagon"

Jaden loves anything horses. He loves to watch John Wayne movies. It is kind of sad that he knows more about John Wayne than Kyle and I do. This week Jaden decided to empty his toy basket out, put the rocking horse in front of the basket, climb into the basket and "connect" the basket to the horse. He made a WAGON. At first we couldn't figure out what he was doing. When Kyle asked him he said "wagon daddy, horse riding wagon..." It is amazing what a two year olds imagination can do...

Jaden's Haircut

We decided to give Jaden a haircut this month. He has been needing a haircut about every 6-8 weeks, which is alot. In order to save a little bit of money, about $15 a haircut, I talked Kyle into trying to cut his hair. My thinking is he is only 2 years old. Even if we mess up it will grow quickly! Thankfully Kyle didn't mess up any, he did cut his ear a little but it is ok.

Jaden is Superman

Jaden loves to pretend. I haven't always noticed but he does pretend ALOT! It is good to have an active imagination, at 2 years old...Thursday night Jaden was pretending to ride his "wild horse" to rado, wherever that is or whoever that is. We just said ok and laughed as he had his hooded towel draped on his head riding his horse. Jaden is an amazing kid and is such a blessing to us.
